About us
Founded in 1993, Intermed is a privately owned Finnish company specialized in laboratory and medical care equipment maintenance.
Our company was founded in Kuopio, Finland, where one of our offices still operates today. We are a Finnish-based service partner with a fully Finnish organization.
We are owned by the Norwegian company Meditain, which is building a comprehensive service network across the Nordics and Northern Europe. Our sister companies operate in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, and France.
Since the beginning, our core business idea has been to offer an independent and cost-effective maintenance alternative for laboratory and medical equipment, regardless of the device manufacturer. Over the years and decades, we have grown together with our customers. Some of our client relationships have lasted for over 20 years.
We are a well-known service provider in most Finnish laboratories under our slogan: “Securing your research.” We also operate extensively within the healthcare sector, serving hospitals and health centers. Our mission is to keep our customers’ equipment in optimal condition and ensure the accuracy of measurement results in accordance with manufacturer guidelines — backed by deep expertise and decades of experience.
Our service engineers are seasoned technical professionals with strong expertise and long-standing experience in maintenance. They have received brand-specific training at the equipment manufacturers’ facilities. We are also an authorized service partner for several equipment importers.
